Hoefully someone can help me with this. I have a Mini Titan Electric Heli Components: Rudder Servo: Park Transmitter: JR 2610 Gyro: JR G490T Cyclic Sevo's: all JR I am battling to set this up at a hover or even in flight the Heli keeps rotating to the left and drifting. Now I am a complete newbie to heli's and was wondering if this had something to do with the setup of the Gyro, if so is there anyone that can explain to me what the proper setup procedure is. Also where is the best place to mount the Gyro as I have heard some rumours that if positioned on top of the main body and you have a boom strike the Gyro could be damaged. Any help would be appreciated. What is a 'Park' rudder servo? A decent tail rotor servo on any heli is a must if you want a solid tail, this could partially cause the problem.

Tail rotor blades will also play a part, quality and performance go hand in hand. Of couse essentially I think you just have a setup problem. I don't know the 490 all too well but I did help a friend of mine whois a fungy on the 490 help another guy setup one with a 2610, it wasn't the easiest thing to do on 2610 with the gyro using remote gain setup.

We ran out of channels and switches and in the end had to let the gyro go into rate mode while he is in throttle hold, was the only way we could keep it tail lock on both normal and idle up flight modes. Sounds like you're either flying in rate mode and not tail lock and you could possible need to adjust your travel and gain settings again. Please go through the manual from start to finish and again and then let's start troubleshooting. From your posts above there are simply too many variables to try and pin point the problem. Sounds to me like you need to either do a little reading around the forums here about everything or visit an expert for a day or so so this person can get you clued up on what's going on where. You're going to have a horrible time getting this heli to do what you need it to if you don't know the basics, which in a heli's case is quite a lot of technical stuff.

When you move the rudder over one way does it jump back to neutral or not? If not then you're in heading hold. If it returns to neutral or zero immediatly after letting go of the stick then it's in rate mode, where you don't want to be as a beginner IMHO.
