• • • • • It was supposed to be a special birthday gift to a grandmother – a family skydiving adventure with a veteran instructor who was one of the Elvis Presley impersonators who jumped from an airplane in the movie 'Honeymoon in Vegas'. A tandem is pretty much going to be out of the question no matter what. BUT there is hope for you! You can actually learn to skydive. It will cost extra, but what you need to find is a dropzone that will convert a tandem rig to a student set up. What they do is take a tandem rig do some non permanent mods on it and you can learn to skydive with it.

Most dropzones will not be interested in going through the hassle, but some will. I have a good friend who I am going to ask if he knows some dropzones that can work with you. Here is the rub though, if you continue to skydive, you are going to need to get your own gear VERY quickly and that will be expensive.
