I restarted manually and then browsed to some of the items from the list in the codebox to find them still existing in the same locations as before. Also searched around in the locations you mentioned but couldn't find a fresh log file from OTLPE, which makes sense.

So I have no log file to post for you, sorry! I looked hard but didn't find an AVG quarantine folder. There is not an 'mbr.exe' file in my windows folder.

I'm also sorry to report, though it's no surprise, that Windows hangs and gives the same BSOD as before. Teh UBCD4Win disc has the Windows Recovery Console as well.

Restart the machine. When the UBCD disc loads, instead of selecting 'Load Ultimate Boot CD for Windows', use your arrow key to select 'Windows Recovery Console'. The Recovery Console will start and ask you which Windows installation you would like to log on to. If you have multiple Windows installations, it will list each one, and you would enter the number associated with the installation you would like to work on and press enter. If you have just one Windows installation, type 1 and press enter. It will then prompt you for the Administrator's password. If there is no password, simply press enter.

Otherwise type in the password and then press enter. You should now be presented with a E: Windows>prompt At that prompt, type in the following bolded text: fixmbr Press Enter You'll see a message asking you to confirm the overwrite of the mbr.
