There are many on the internet who claim to be able to decode your radio, and those using nothing more than a 99p software disc to calculate your code numbers are very easy to identify, as they never list a full range of radio`s, and have no means to manually reprogram your radio when they get it wrong. eBay! I've had an irritating problem with the Mondeo radio code, which occasionally asks for it to be input at random intervals of a few months.

This started happening (I think) after I had the battery replaced. After a few occurrences I memorised the code, but it's still a nuisance, and I'm tempted to switch it off.

I did get a message from an unlock site about 20 minutes ago, saying they think the code is stored in the EEPROM and can't be decoded. Zooming in on the label there's a bit at the very bottom that says it's a Clarion radio, part no. I missed it earlier but googleing it seems to suggest that it's only available from the main dealer. I should've looked more carefully at the label to begin with. I'll have to wait until payday I guess:) Again, many thanks for trying.

Hi sorry to jump on the back of this, my girlfriend bought a second hand Nissan Micra 2006 plate and was told that it had a new battery installed and because of this the radio was scrambled but all she had to do was call Nissan for the code. What they didn't tell her it'd cost £35. By the looks of reading other posts, I assume you would need her radio model serial number first? Where exactly can she find it?

On the unit itself or manual? I won't be seeing her until the weekend to suss that one out. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated:) MrCheerful 22.02.16 12:46.

I know it's not the usual 14 digits but it's clearly marked 'serial no.' On the top of the radio. Could you help with the code, please.

>Sorry, that one cannot be decoded. Your radio is made by CLARION and the only CLARION code that can be calculated (using a serial number ) anywhere on the Internet is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with C 7000000 + + + + on a separate label somewhere on the metal casing.

(Note.not beginning with CL.) If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM) inside your radio fran.@gmail.com 08.10.16 10:40. You hit the nail on the head. Selling them, I also get about 50 percent email me and say 'thank you' directly in addition to feedback, free ones, less than 5 percent said thanks. The one that tipped the balance was someone that gave me an incorrect set of numbers, of course the code was wrong, he sent a picture of the radio, from which I realised that he had added in a completely spurious digit, I gave him the right code and pointed out his error, he never even said sorry/thank you!

It is pleasant to get a little return from ebay, but after ebay charges and paypal charges I actually get 66p out of the 99p charged! Graham J 28.01.17 03:56. It is odd, there are quite a lot of sellers offering the same makes and the same price of 99p, and there are a few others at higher prices, without trying it out it is hard to know whether a higher price gives them more confidence to buy. At 99p I have sold about one every two or three days, so no great fortunes to be made, it would be an advantage to raise the price due to the paypal minimum charge of 23p on a 99p sale (3% plus 20p), whereas they would charge 25p for 1.50 sale (for example) Mark 28.01.17 08:46.
